FAIR USE POLICY
To ensure that every customer has access to the services they require, Telsim has adopted this Fair Use Policy to prevent unreasonable or excessive usage of our services where services means the telecommunication services that Telsim provides for our customers. This Fair Use Policy applies in relation to the use of any services provided by Telsim. Our Fair Use Policy is intended to ensure the availability of our services to all eligible Customers; and that the Fair Use services are not used in an unreasonable manner.
Under the policy we have defined fair usage levels for unlimited data transfer plans and needless to mention, the usage levels are set above normal usage such that most customers will not be affected by the Fair Usage Policy. On reaching the fair usage level, the plan speed would be rationalized (reduced from the normal speed of the plan) for the rest of the validity period / bill cycle. The fair usage level and the reduced speed usually vary from plan to plan and these details are mentioned along with the plan itself. The speeds would be upgraded to the normal speeds once the validity of renewal expires or till the end of current bill cycle.
It is unreasonable use of Telsim services or Fair Use Promotion where your use of services or participation in a Fair Use Promotion is reasonably considered by Telsim to be fraudulent or to adversely affect the Telsim Network or other Telsim customers’ use of or access to a Telsim service or Network.
Among other things, “fraudulent use” includes resupplying a Telsim service without consent so that someone else may access or use Telsim services or take advantage of a Fair Use Promotion.
All Telsim products and services must be used for individual’s private use in a manner which is reasonable and acceptable and not to be used for any business purposes and operations of large groups. Unreasonable use of services includes but are not limited to leaving a call open unattended for long time, mass distribution to many recipients, using for call center services, telemarketing, wholesaling etc. The use of calling cards, dialing applications or apps, or VoIP services, where the call is switched or re-routed to another destination, service or number and calling 13xx or 18xx numbers to make indirect calls through other providers are also prohibited.
Where you are in breach of this Fair Use Policy, Telsim may contact you to discuss changing your usage so that it conforms to this Fair Use Policy. We reserve the right to vary the terms of the Fair Use Policy from time to time without prior notice or intimation. If, post reaching the levels of usage mentioned against your tariff plan in the FUP policy, your excessive or unreasonable use continues, Telsim may suspend the service, or terminate your agreement without further notice to you.
